Lab Overview

Eleventh studio album from legendary David Bowie. Low was originally recorded in 1976 following Bowie's move away from the excesses of Los Angeles. He would first move to Switzerland, before moving to Berlin with friend and singer Iggy Pop. From there Bowie got into the German music scene, including the acts Kraftwerk and Neu!. At the same time he was listening to Brian Eno's Discreet Music. Bowie and Eno would eventually meet and begin collaborating along with Pop and producer Tony Visconti. As Bowie worked on shedding the trappings of his Thin White Duke persona, he escaped into the anonymity of West Berlin and began crafting on Low. Visconti would produce with Eno adding his synth wizardry and Bowie's Station to Station band fleshing everything out. Includes the songs: "Breaking Glass," "Sound And Vision," and "Warszawa." Twelve tracks in all. Released by Parlophone on 180 gram vinyl with a printed inner sleeve.
