Lab Overview

First release in Light In The Attic's 10th Anniversary colored 7" series. The series features contemporary artists covering artists from the LITA roster on the A-side, with the original on the B-side. For the inaugural 45, LITA taps Los Angeles-based sludge rockers the Zig Zags (of Mexican Summer fame) to cover Betty Davis' "If I'm In Luck I Might Get Picked Up." The band does a killer job finding the underlying Sabbath vibe hidden under the surface of the Davis track and get none other than legendary punk icon Iggy Pop for vocal duties. Needless to say, you haven't heard a Betty Davis track sung like this before! The Betty Davis original is featured on the flip. Limited edition pressed on green vinyl, housed in custom LITA juke-box style sleeve.
