Global collection of AOR Soul! French DJ and Producer Charles Maurice, compiler of French Disco Boogie Sounds also on Favorite Recordings, sets his sights on the sweet, chill sounds of AOR from around the globe. The combination of Jazz, Soul, and Disco amongst other pure genres all formed during the magical period of the mid to late 70s and produced an array of beautiful tunes not necessarily for the dance floor but with the spirit of it in mind. Infectious as it was, it too swept across the globe and not unlike the 'balearic' sounds we've come to enjoy these too seem to exist on their own place. Categories are for those that don't get it, feeling is what this collection is based on and Maurice has done a fine job. From the Hawaiian soul of Nohelani Cypriano's 'Lihue' to the tremendous Brazilian offering of Placa Luminosa.
