Adrian Younge, known for scoring Black Dynamite, creates "It's me," a heavy, dark and cinematic modern soul number with Rebecca Jordan on vocals. The track conjures up sounds from "the glory days of 70s soul" and fuses them with hip-hop aesthetics, aptly described as "a mix between Aretha Franklin circa 1969 and Wu-Tang circa 1992). Track two is "The Niacin," an instrumental track built on a dusty breakbeat that progresses into a "free-form jam session" featuring Shawn Lee and Michael Leonhart, and Calibro 35. Wax Po and Serato pressings have really set the bar high with this one, control tone on the flip and pressed on limited-edition chocolate wax. Recommended.

Easily the most anticipated release in Serato's Artist Series to date. They went big on this one and got Shepard Fairey, the man behind the OBEY movement. Fairey went from making from a simple sticker ("Andre The Giant Has A Posse") to creating a worldwide phenomenon with the OBEY campaign, and changed the way people see the urban landscape through street art. For his Serato pressing (the third in the Artist Series), Fairey has created 4 orignal pieces that adorn each side of the double LP set. No music on this one, just the Serato control tone on each side. Limited to 2000 pieces, recommended.

How long has it been since we first got wind of Doom x Ghostface collabo? It finally happens, and the duo's first official release, "Victory Laps(1)," is out on limited-edition pic disc with Serato control tone on the flip. Madlib's remix(2) of the song was previously available as a part of the Doom x Akomplice boxset (on red cassette), and this 12" contains instrumentals to both versions. Act fast, highly recommended.

Fool's Gold celebrates its 4-year anniversary with the release of a super limited-edition (only 2000 worldwide!) set, which includes 4 highly sought after, previously unreleased remixes spread over 2 clear marble yellow LPs with serato control tones on the flip and a pair of exclusive slipmats stamped with the iconic Fool's Gold logo. As far as the music is concerned, the label includes Tony Senghore's wicked take on Lil B's "Freeze(1)," a half-time mix of Kindom's "Mind Reader(2)," a club-ready version of Cubic Zirconia's "afterhours jam" "Night Or Day(3)" and Amen Brother's 808s-and-breaks-heavy remix of DJ Gant-Man's "Juke Dat Girl(4)." Highly recommended!

The second installment of Serato Artist Series features Misery, the alter-ego of prominent New Zealand-born artist Tanja Jade. Her signature characters - which are "cheeky, whimsical, cute, and always dark" - grace the super lightweight control vinyl, with sides a and b done in different colorways. This limited edition pressing is one of Misery's final commissions, as Jade has decided to part with the "overbearing, dark influence" after 13 years, rendering the pic disc an instant collectible. One record per package, so act quick and seriously consider grabbing doubles!

The funky sound of Harlem is coming at you in a major way with this absolutely massive collection from P&P Records and Serato Pressings! Peter Brown and Patrick Adam's legendary label has brought the world countless disco classics and this super deluxe boxset is a testament to the P&P legacy with 197 remastered songs from 88 groups in both high quality wav and 320 mp3 over three loaded data DVDs. That's over 19 1/2 hours (or 15GB) of pure funky disco music! And if that wasn't enough, you also get 2x exclusive Serato 12"s - one with Mistafide's "Equidity Funk" and the other with Cloud One's "Don't Let This Rainbow Pass Me By", both backed with official Serato Control Tones on swirly psychedelic green vinyl. The records are housed in custom disco sleeves and are packaged in a matching box with 32-page hardcover book and a sexy 18"x24" poster of Queen Constance Records. You can't go wrong with this one, highly recommended!
