50th anniversary pressing of Free Jazz classic reissued on colored wax! Recorded in April of 1965, Sun Ra and his Solar Arkestra set a new standard in composition that had not yet been heard in the world known as 'free jazz' at the time. While the recordings are considered light years beyond and all sense of melody and harmony disjointed, the depth and spirituality of the sessions are the landmark often cited amongst Jazz historians. This 2015 reissue is pressed with the original album artwork created by Sun Ra himself. The 50th anniversary special edition is pressed on 180g Esperanto Green wax and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.
