The two of them have put together some of the best rare funk, disco (not disco), and boogie compilations over the years and this one from 2007 is no different. Supafunkanova specifically targets the funkier side of the late 70's / early 80's when disco, boogie, funk, and soul all melded together to move bodies and lift spirits. Every single one of the tracks featured here is a jam, with no easy finds or obvious picks in the bunch. Check the tough funk from Backlash, Foreal People and Silver Lining, boogie badness from Leprechaun, disco rap from Younger Generation, an exclusive edits of Jackie Cole & Hot Platinum Fantasy and more. 2015 repress on double 12" with gatefold sleeve.
