Monkey Mind is named after the Buddhist concept of a restless, looping consciousness – the duo drew on their own 'monkey minds' to write the album in a matter of weeks, using music as way to process their worry. After years of building their own intricate, home-recorded worlds, P&TO worked with producer Jonathan Rado, recording straight to tape with minimal overdubs and working with their musical family of LA musicians.
