  • Leave it to Kenny Dope to unearth the rarest of the rare funk breaks. They don't call him the Dope Man for nuthin'! Unless you're a super elite 45 digger, chances are you've never heard of The Original Blacksheep (that's okay, I hadn't heard of them either). Original recordings from the band are practically impossible to find and are the stuff of digger legend. There's actually a very lengthy story about how this record came about - a tale of a young band from the 70's that broke up, reformed, then went dormant - only to find their music to be highly sought-after, decades after the fact by a new breed of funk enthusiasts and collectors. One of those collectors happened to be Kenny Dope and that is how this recording came to existence. Check the funky, psych influenced sounds of "In The Forest," "Heaven Must Of Made You Girl" and "Do You Wanna Dance." A rare treat, brought to you by Kay-Dee from the original 8 track reels. Packaged in gatefold double 7" sleeve. Recommended.
