“I will now sell five copies of-“ haha, just kidding. Yep, The Beta Band’s first three EPs: Champion Versions, The Patty Patty Sound and Los Amigos Del Beta Bandidos, originally released on 12” vinyl between 1997 and 1998, compiled on CD as The Three EPs in 1998 and immortalized on film by John Cusack just a year later. The compilation arrived before the band released an official debut album and, in addition to a very special shout out in High Fidelity, was a lot of fans’ first exposure to the cult experimental indie rockers. The three EPs have never been available together on vinyl before now, and never before on colored vinyl. This 20th anniversary set includes Champion Versions on red vinyl, The Patty Patty Sound on yellow double vinyl and Los Amigos on blue vinyl, remastered with full-color repro sleeves featuring original artwork and CD version, all housed in an outer slipcase, individually hand-numbered and limited to 5000.
