Akai

It's safe to say that sample-based music (and music in general) wouldn't be the same today without Akai's MPC2000. The MPC2000 is no longer available, but Akai has developed an entire line of music production gear inspired by this legendary piece of hardware. The signature, velocity sensitive MPC pads feature on most models; and MIDI integration has always been Akai's strength. With the introduction of APC controller series, Akai has become a popular choice for Ableton users.
