Lab Overview

Sophomore studio album from Denton, Texas' Midlake. The Trials Of Van Occupanther was originally recorded between 2005 and 2006, and was hailed as one of the best indie rock releases of 2006. The band moved away from the sound of their lo-fi, psychedelic pop debut and jumped headfirst into 1970s Laurel Canyon. Its gentle and soothing music that won over more than a few fans and critics. Eleven tracks in all, 2024 reissue on Midlake's own label.
