As if these guys weren't far enough ahead of their time, they go ahead and release this project. It's a double-LP release produced by founders Ralph Hutten and Florian Schneider, taking some of their biggest songs and re-vamping them for today's modern dancefloor. Pretty genius. When the version of "Home Computer" hit the tables here at the warehouse, I immediately stood up wondering who would be blasphemous enough to try to remix the perfect Kraftwerk original. When I found out it was by the group themselves, I felt embarrassed and quietly returned to my seat, left to bounce guiltily to the bumpin' remix. Other heaters here are the "Trans Europe Express" remix and "Music Non-Stop." I'm just counting the days before someone scoops that "boom chak" sample on "Music" for their own production. Also check "The Robots" remix and the "Computer Love" remix. Pretty good stuff. As for the picture of the cyborg versions of the Kraftwerk crew, I don't think I've ever seen anything so scary since the Dr. Giggles poster I saw as a kid. High quality pressings on colored vinyl to match the the album design.
