Lab Overview

Jerry Garcia, Sandy Rothman and fellow JGAB member David Nelson’s musical connection dates back to the early 1960’s when the trio initially joined the folk revival with projects like the Black Mountain Boys. Joined here by John Kahn, Kenny Kosek and David Kemper, the Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band showcases Garcia’s continued reverence for traditional folk, bluegrass and spirituals such as “Deep Elem Blues,” “I’ve Been All Around This World,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” and “Oh, The Wind and the Rain” — plus Garcia & Robert Hunter’s own contribution to modern folklore, the timeless “Ripple.”
