A world renowned DJ and a certified hip-hop nerd, Ross One really bodied this one. The amount of t-shirts photographed and cataloged on Rap Tees - A Collection of Hip-Hop T-shirts 1980-199 is unreal (over 500, about half belonging to the man himself), and they provide a never-before-seen or heard chronology of the yesteryears of the genre. Beginning with relics from 1980 and ending at around 1999, you'll find "elusive concert, promotional, and bootleg tees" from entities like Public Enemy, Boogie Down Productions, Beastie Boys, Eric B and Rakim, Wu Tang Clan, Jay Z, Nas, EPMD, and more. It's important to note that majority of the items features in the book are pre-mass-production and pre-internet; "I would buy the magazines and CDs with the order forms in the back. And I was the kid who would fill them out. So that was where it started," says Ross in an interview with Mass Appeal. This is the SIGNED copy, and obviously, highly recommended!
