Just let me be your Lady Bug! In the mid-70's, Patrick Adams and Greg Carmichael got together to form the studio disco unit Bumblebee Unlimited. The group lead by Adams & Carmichael (similar to Cloud One, Universal Robot Band and Inner Life) would produce only one album, 1977's Sting Like A Bee. From this sole album, "Lady Bug" would go on to become an underground sensation with it's funky bassline, infectious keys, and those distinctive sped-up vocals. Get On Down has done the most and given this disco classic a proper 12" reissue with two masterfully remixed sides and fully remastered sound. Here we are treated to John Morales and Frank Trimarco epic 10+ minute version that ramps up the tempo to130 BPM while putting the focus onto the Latin percussion to really work the floor. On the flip, Paradise Garage pioneer Larry Levan contributes one of his earliest remixes that brings down the tempo and showcases his talent for crafting a proper club mix. Comes complete with informative obi strip.
