Fifth studio album from ambient pioneer Brian Eno. Recorded over a 2 year period, Before And After Science was to be Eno's last rock music album. At the time Eno was recording his early ambient albums Music for Films and Discreet Music, but he was intent on crafting a rock album that could follow the critically acclaimed Another Green World. He produced the album alongside Rhett Davies and worked with a variety of musicians, including members of Roxy Music, Free, Fairport Convention, Can and Cluster. The resulting album kept a somewhat pop format, but is a unique statement that stands out from much of the music being released at the time. Includes the songs: "By This River," "King's Lead Hat," and "No One Receiving." Ten tracks in all. Released by UMC on limited edition 45 rpm double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with obi an strip, half speed master certificate and digital download.
