Oakland Faders member and Scion mix contest winner DJ Platurn blesses you with one of the best Tribe mixes to date. I know this will is probably have most DJs knockin' their heads against the wall for not thinkin' of it first, but that's what you get for letting go of your hip hop roots for hipster shit like Emo-Thug (I'm guilty of this too). Truthfully, Platurn is pulling all the stops on this one. It's got hits from early Native Tongues days to Love Movement, sample source breaks, obscure shit, unreleased tracks and B-sides, all beautifully freaked and mixed like a pro. Couldn't be at a better time, either. With all the mashups and hipster mixes poppin' up last year, it's just nice to hear a solid hip hop mix of some of the greats. They basically bridged the old school to new school. Consider it the souped-up alternative to the Daddy Dog mix, which Siz constantly bumped here. 1 hour long.
