If you think that cover looks freaky, you should see the dude behind Ssion (pronounced "Shun")... he actually kinda looks like that! Just from the cover I was about to file this under "French-blog-house" but some further investigating revealed that Ssion is actually from Kansas City, Missouri (so technically it's American-blog-house). But forget labels and assumptions for one second and just take a listen to "Clown(1)." That's quite the funky 80's pop construction if I ever heard. Sort of reminds me of Jellybean's work on Madonna's "Physical Attraction." This could be big... And whats this among the slew of remixes? Yep, nu-disco darlings Glass Candy have decided to drop there own version of "Clown(1)" as well and it sounds more haunting and minimal in a good way. You also get 4 other remixes to suit whatever style you might be into at the moment - Moves!!! goes for more of a quirky rave break style, Noiss gets on some funky bassline house, Chrissy Murderbot(3) takes it to hype big room levels, while DJ C gets real wicked on the dubstep grime tip. 6 versions on 1 12"? Not bad.
