Taken from Nicky Holloway and Danny Rampling's "20 Years of House" CD, this 12" features four late 80's house classics. Frankie Knuckles "Your Love(1)" first appeared on the flip of Knuckles' seminal classic, "Baby Wants to Ride," in 1987 on Trax. This one's a slow burner with beautiful vocals by Jamie Principle, yes, Mr. "la la la la la," as he is known today. Even though this one's 20 years old, it could fit right in alongside today's spacey disco sound a la Nick Chacona. Next up is another 1987 classic you should be ashamed if you don't know about by now, Raze's "Break 4 Love(2)." On the flip, Ralphi Rosario's "I Want Your Love(3)" is the epitome of the late 80's house sound, full of old school drum hits and that funny old school Chicago spoken word vocal style I adore. Last up, Mickey Oliver's cleverly titled "In Ten Si Ti(4)" from 1998, features some dope ass old school beats and a ridiculously mean bassline. All four tracks are absolute classics that will still destroy the floors, twenty years later.
