Mujava's "Township Funk(1)" has had the internet a-buzzin with hype thanks to blog coverage, YouTube videos and plays from dudes like Sinden for a minute now. The hype is actually well deserved in this case since this is isn't your average dance record (click that audio link now if you haven't already). DJ Mujava's sound originates from the industrial town of Pretoria, South Africa and is a hybrid beat that combines elements of house with a heavy dancehall march, dark pulsing bass and infectious howling synths. It kind of reminds me of the Diplo or Mad Decent stuff and definitely has international anthem written all over it. Flipside features an even heavier and darker version(2) of the track. Plays at 45. Recommended.
