Finally managed to nab some import vinyl copies of this neat little collection, featuring alternate versions and covers of/by Brooklyn's premier indie / folk / laptop / whatever band. Hear CSS as you've never heard them before (mellow!) on their version of "Knife(1)," and fellow Sub Pop-ers Band of Horses with some wild harmonies and plenty of banjo on "Plans(2)." (The Grizzlies take cover themselves, tackling oldie classic "He Hit Me(3).") Also feeling the epic and glacial choral version of "Alligator(4)" and Daniel Rossen's multi-tracked home recording of "Deep Blue Sea(5)." Comes in a handsome matte pic sleeve. 10 tracks total.
