Savage Skulls - Extended Version
Triple X Syndrome - Depth Charge Remix

R E V I E W
I can't believe it's been 2 years since Padded Cell's powerful "Are You Anywhere?" single dropped. It's one of the only new disco tracks that I carry in my bag and has always been a favored gem. "Savage Skulls(1)" is their newest single giving a glimpse of the new LP dropping soon on DC Recordings. The track is a dark, eerie midtempo burner that builds slow from a unchanging funky bassline, layered with synths, vocoder, and electronic sounds that are signature to DC. To turn the energy up, flip the disc to "Triple X Syndrome - Depth Charge Remix(2)." I've never heard the original to this, but Depth Charge is definitely blowing this one to epic proportions. Sick Italo-like drum intro the song until the bass slowly creeps in to break into an electro disco groove, complete with an unrelenting fuzz bass and dubbed out guitars and vocals. Pretty awesome for DJs who love the new disco sound. Mix with In Flagranti, other DC stuff and classic house sounds for a potent weekend cocktail.
