Get On Down
All I Need
- featuring: Trevor Loveys

Streetplayers
Big Byrd

R E V I E W
Fully stacked new EP from one of Joshua "Herve" Harvey's lesser used alter egos. Voodoo Chilli's tracks are always funky or more straight-up disco laced takes on the Dubsided sound, grabbing infectious and minute snips of classic tracks and pounding them directly into your earholes 'til you can't help but move around. "Streetplayer(1)," Herve's Bmore club take on the Chicago classic, has attracted much buzz since popping up on his & Sinden's Essential Mix and has been getting plays from all-stars like Switch and A-Trizzy. And c'mon, who doesn't like some "Street Player" in the summer months? Kenny Dope called it "The Bomb" for a reason. Elsewheres, Herve homie Trevor Loveys features on "All I Need(2)," things get stringy with the cheerful house number "Big Byrd(3)" (presumably Donald, not Larri) and things get quite funky with the sweet looped soul vox in "Get On Down(4)." Four strong tracks here, all candidates for playing out. Recommended.
