Bobmo is another Parisian youngster, following in the footsteps of his label mate (and fellow supposed 10-year old) Surkin. If you couldn't tell from the Day-Glo colors and smiley faces on the sleeve, this is some more of that "new rave" shit the Londoners are freaking out about. I wasn't there for the "old rave," so I don't really know what the craze is about (maybe it sounds better on E), but Bobmo does deliver three solid electro tunes worth checking here. The A-side's "Home Alone(1)" and "Freak Me(2)" are fairly straightforward (though the squelchy "Freak" ventures out a little more), but "To The Bobmobile(3)" is probably the one that will get folks' attention (and is definitely the first "Baltimore" track made by a French producer that hasn't sent me lunging for the volume knob). Side note: this kid looks EXACTLY like Andy Samberg from SNL - check the center label.
