Bargain of the month! We can't get enough of these Death Row reissues, and now they've gone and done it proper for tha Doggfather. The title of this one is a bit deceptive: not only does it feature the full length short film "Murder Was The Case" (based around Snoop's song of the same title, starring Snoop and Charlie Murphy and directed by Dr. Dre himself!) but a whole grip of candid interviews, full-length music videos and live performances from the Doggystyle era. You get Snoop & Dre rolling on stage at the MTV Music Video Awards in a purple lowrider (with hydraulics and "CHRONIC" license plate, of course) before performing "Nuthin' But A G Thang," plus the videos for "What's My Name," "Gin & Juice" ("Snoop Doggy Dogg? You need to get a jobby job!") and "Doggy Dog World." But wait – that's not all! (In best infomercial voice.) They also have Snoop performing on SNL, doing "Gin & Juice" live on an unspecified show, full videos for "Midnight Love" and "Head Doctor" as well as the bonus uncut video for Dre & Cube's "Natural Born Killaz." Like I said, this is a goddamn bargain for the price. Only thing missing here is Snoop's "wheelchair" performance of "Murder Was The Case." Recommended.
