"Vintage nostalgia throwback skate vid! Let's Go!" Although this was the fourth Bones Brigade video, to many of us skate kids living in the burbs in the late 80's, this was the only skate video! Of course there was Animal Chin & the Santa Cruz viedo series, but nothing could compete with the new age of Powell Peralta. Their filming techniques were hip, almost like real movies at the time(Gleaming The Cube, Police Academy Four) with the coolest in rock, punk, jazz, and alternative tracks gracing the skating as soundtrack. Upon the revisit, I can actually say this is cooler now, after a 20 year hiatus. The clothes, styles, lingo are priceless, and the segments really show how Powell Peralta became synonomous with professional skateboarding. See the OG Bones Brigade(Hawk, Mountain, Cabellero and Guerrero) gromits Ray Barbee, Sanderson, Chet Thomas, Gnarly Jim Thiebaud, ripping segments from Vallely, a very young Colin McKay and Bucky Lasek all as kids eager to shred. Trust me, it's the ultimate skate time capsule - priceless.
