Russian disco heaters compiled by DJ Kirill Sergeev aka Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club! The Contemporary Sound of Russia volume 1 pulls together the very best re-edits/reworks from today's top Russian producers (most of whom we've never heard of until now), guaranteed to set the dancefloor on fire. From the deepest disco cuts to funky rarities and beyond, this comp represents the sound of the current Russian disco edit scene with entries from Simple Symmetry, Lesca, Beard In The Dust, Quick Soviet Cuts and more. Check the smooth openers "Let's Love" from Lesca and "Bennie's Deal" from Lay-Far, then get on down to "Burnin Hot" from Arsenii, and the useful Gina X flip from Simple Symmetry. The deep grooves continue on the second disc with another burner from Simple Symmetry, a chilled funky number from Quick Soviet Cuts, and the jamming good vibes from Lipelis & Sasha Lipsky. A must cop for the disco heads! This limited edition deluxe set contains 10 tracks over double white marbled vinyl, PLUS a bonus 10" (on white vinyl) and mixed CD of the material by SPDSC aka DJ Kirill Sergeev himself. Recommended.
