LAB REVIEW

True Wu-fans know deal. In the 21st century, Masta Killa is putting out the best Wu records. This 2003 solo debut signaled his arrival and departure. "Digi Warfare" is a brilliant mix of new school and old school concepts. Firstly, Choco's beat is so new school, so much so, it appeared as an instrumental track on the cult French comp Toxic. On the other side of the art, Killa's flow is a shout to the old school with the DJ callout intro (doubles please) and lengthy breath control verses. B-side features the "No Said Date" produced by RZA in his best Ghost Dog mode. Included instrumentals are crucial here. Recommended.
