The MPC series has been at the heart of studios around the globe for decades, and with the introduction of the newly updated 2012 line, Akai has ensured their place there for many years to come. The new MPC Studio takes the legendary features and iconic workflow of the MPC and fuses them with the power of your computer for ultimate production power on the go.

With 16 genuine, backlit pads, familiar workflow and MPC Swing, the MPC Studio offers the best of past MPC's while adding new functionality via the MPC Software. The MPC Studio works with the MPC Software (the same software used by the MPC Rennaissance) via USB to give you 128-tracks of sequencing power through your Mac or PC, with an included 6GB of sounds and samples so you can get to producing right out of the box. The software works as a standalone program or within your favorite DAW (Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton, etc.) as a VST or AU plug-in allowing you to record up to 128 tracks with unlimited events, filters, effects, and much more. In addition, a large LCD screen provides all the vital track data, so you can work on the unit without looking at the computer screen (great for live performance), while four touch sensitive knobs are added to provide enhanced control for MPC Software.

The MPC Studio also features standard 5 pin MIDI I/O via included TRS to MIDI cable ensuring full integration with your exiting studio setup. All of this in a compact, brushed aluminum uint that is slim (less than 1" thick!) and portable so you can produce anywhere your inspiration takes you.
