the patented lab review lab informed suggestions
No, you're not dreaming. This release features Armand Van Helden, Jesse Rose, Radio Slave and... Roxy Cottontail! It seems the infamous queen of the NY club scene has risen past her nursery rhyme rap on Aaron LaCrate's "Blow Remix" and now is riding the shoulders of the big boys. For her short jump from promoter to vocalist, it doesn't get bigger than this. Armand just released the super-hype MSTRKRFT remix of "NYC Beat," and Radio Slave and Jesse Rose have already become staple names in dance production. It's just crazy to see all these names all on one 12". Check the first track, "Playmate." The combination of Armand, Rose and Roxy makes for a dirty bounce machine, destined to raise the sweat levels and promiscuous tendencies of your next midnight masher. And if that's too heavy, the flip, "This Ain't Hollywood," is a minimal burner by Radio Slave in his deep signature style, with some dapper vocal choppings by Will Tha Wiz thrown in (kinda sounds like Pharrell). The sound is huge on both sides and bound to catch wreck on some big club speakers.
