The iMmini system is very similar to its big brother iM3, but is exclusively designed for use with the iPod Mini. It features a more compact size (an inch smaller in width and height, weighs 5 ounces less), and a sleeker design (when folded up the controls are hidden, rounded corner design). The iMmini does carry a lower price tag than the iM3, therefore it lacks the remote control feature and carrying case. Otherwise the iMmini features the same excellent Altec Lansing sound technology with MaxxBass, compact fold-up design, and docking feature (functions exactly like an iPod dock).
Additional features include an extra line input and adaptor cable that allows you to connect other audio devices such as laptops and MP3 players. The iMmini features extra-long battery life with more than 24 hours of continuous playback using 4x AAA batteries. It also comes with a power adaptor with several different attachments for usage in foreign countries. When not in use, the iMmini automatically shuts down to conserve power.
